East Ventures-backed founders listed in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia

Forbes Asia has again released this year’s “30 Under 30” list, featuring 300 young entrepreneurs, leaders, and trailblazers across the Asia-Pacific region, all under the age of 30, who are leading the transformation of industries and finding innovative ways to navigate new business realities in the region. 

The Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia Class of 2024 features 300 notable listees selected across 10 categories. Here are the five East Ventures’ portfolio founders who have made the list!

Evan Heng, Founder and CEO of Zenith, Singapore

Evan Heng founded the Singapore-based education company Zenith Education Studio in 2019 to help junior college students improve their academics. Evan then launched Zenith Academy to help primary school students improve their English, math and science skills. Zenith now offers a hybrid program that includes classes of ten brick-and-mortar branches with a gamified online education platform. Zenith raised US$1.4 million in seed funding led by East Ventures Trihill Capital and in July 2023 to fuel expansion of the company, which is now called Zenith Learning Group.

Ashab Alkahfi Ananda Putra, Ahmad Syaifulloh Imron, Tubagus Syailendra, Co-Founders of Chickin, Indonesia

Ahmad Syaifulloh Imron, Ashab Alkahfi Ananda Putra and Tubagus Syailendra co-founded agriculture tech startup Chickin in 2020. The Jakarta-based company helps Indonesia’s chicken farmers increase output through an IoT-based device called CI-Touch, which can monitor humidity and temperature and make adjustments. Chickin also helps farmers sell their birds nationwide. It raised an undisclosed amount of Seed financing from led by East Ventures in 2022.

Robert Tan, Co-Founder of Cosmart, Indonesia

Robert Tan, Co-Founder of Cosmart, Indonesia

Co-founded by Robert Tan, Cosmart is a membership-based Indonesian e-commerce platform for groceries. Partnering with consumer goods companies and suppliers, the startup claims to offer lower prices on fresh produce and household needs and delivers them within two days. In 2022, Cosmart raised US$5 million in seed funding from investors, including East Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India. Currently serving the greater Jakarta area, Cosmart plans to expand to more cities. Robert previously led product development initiatives at fintech firm Pluang and travel platform Traveloka.
