Pocket, a family financial management platform startup, raised pre-seed funding led by East Ventures

Pocket, an Indonesia-based fintech startup providing a holistic financial health platform for families, announced the completion of an undisclosed amount of pre-seed funding led by East Ventures. Pocket will allocate the fresh funds mainly for product penetration in increasing adoption and users. Pocket will also invest in developing its product and offering to complete the platform ecosystem. 

The role of fintech lending to Indonesia’s agribusiness sector

Agriculture plays a significant role in Indonesia's economic growth and development. It contributed to 14% of the nation's GDP in 2020, and the sector employs 29% of the Indonesian workforce. However, most Indonesian farmers are still living in poverty. According to World Bank’s data, around half of the Indonesian farmers are smallholders that earn an average of US$ 3.2 per day.

UENA, a hyperlocal online F&B startup based in Indonesia, has raised an undisclosed seed funding round led by East Ventures, with a strong participation from IDN Media and several angel investors. UENA was founded by Alvin Arief (Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer) and Roy Yohanes (Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer), who are seasoned F&B entrepreneurs with more than 10 years of experience.

Disrupting Indonesia’s oral wellness space, KLAR Smile bags US$ 4.5 million pre-series A funding

Klar Smile, an oral wellness startup in Indonesia, announced that it raised a US$4.5 million pre-series A funding round co-led by East Ventures and AC Ventures. Other participating investors included Venturra Discovery, and several angel investors.

ARIA, a one-stop solution for Indonesia’s agriculture service, has secured US$ 5 million of seed funding led by East Ventures, who joined the pre-seed round in March 2022. This round of funding was also joined by Triputra Group, Michael Sampoerna, Arkana Ventures, GK-Plug & Play, and other strategic investors.
