The industry was worth US$240 billion in 2022 and was the 12th-biggest manufacturer in the world. The nation’s manufacturing industry grew by 4.64% in 2023 and contributes around 20% to Indonesia's total Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which amounted to US$1.371 trillion.
