Hwee joined East Ventures in 2023. She brings with her over 17 years of investor relations (IR) and capital raising experience from across public and private markets. She began her buy-side career with Deutsche Bank, where she was a part of the Asia ex-Japan product marketing team at its asset management division. In 2010, she joined Actis, a global emerging markets infrastructure and buyout firm, looking after IR and business development for the firm’s China operations and marketing the firm’s global fund offerings to Asian institutional investors. After Actis, she led global fundraising and investor management for Monk’s Hill Ventures as its first IR hire. Prior to joining East Ventures, Hwee was running her own private markets IR advisory firm, working alongside emerging managers in various strategies.

Hwee holds a Bachelor of Arts (Architecture) degree from the National University of Singapore, and has a Certificate in ESG Investing awarded by the CFA Institute.
